Is your student interested in running for Student Government for the next school year?

We are holding a MANDATORY Parent Meeting for all students who plan to try out. Important information about eligibility, expectations, campaign guidelines, and key dates will be shared.

⏰ Time: 7th & 8th Grade students - 3:15PM, 6th Grade Students - 4:30 PM
📍 Location: SJH Cafeteria

A parent or guardian must attend in order for the student to be eligible to run.

Student Government is a fantastic opportunity for students to develop leadership skills, build school spirit, and make a meaningful impact on campus. We look forward to seeing you there!

Team 90049E "THE PLASTIC CHAIRS" won the Inspire Award at the Sunburst "All Star" Middle School Tournament on Saturday, February 7. The Inspire Award recognizes passion for the competition and positivity at the event. Congratulations 90049E!

Team 90049B, SEA MONKEYS, recently won the Teamwork Champion Award at the February DSD Scrimmage. Congratulations 90049B!

Team 90049V, "The Rubber Ducks" won the Teamwork Champion Award and the Innovate Award at the Sand Springs Hot Chocolate Tournament on Saturday, January 31. The team and their alliance partner scored 191 points to earn the Teamwork Champion Award. The Innovate Award recognizes an effective and well-documented design process in some aspect of the team's work. Congratulations 90049V!

Team 90049D, "The Three Musketeers + Ben", won the Judges Award at the Sunburst "Girl-Powered" tournament on Saturday, January 31. The Judges Award is earned by a team that distinguishes themselves in some way at the event. Congratulations 90049D!

📣 It’s CTE Month!

This month, we’re celebrating Career & Technical Education (CTE) and the incredible opportunities it brings to our students at Syracuse Jr High! We’re proud of the wide range of CTE classes we offer, which give students hands-on experiences and real-world skills. These classes help students explore interests, build confidence, and gain knowledge that can support their future careers—wherever their paths may lead.

Ms. Robinson's Family and Consumer Science Explorations class received a grant through the Davis Education Foundation.  This grant provided materials for loose parts play and half of dozen of the latest SEL children's books.  These resources gave students the opportunity to create and teach many hands-on pre-school lesson plans that addressed all five areas of child development.  Students got to experience a taste of the joys and challenges of a career in early childhood education. Thank you Davis Education Foundation!

SJH Robotics team 90049E "THE PLASTIC CHAIRS" won the Judges Award at the Shoreline Snowbot Showdown on January 10. The Judges award is earned by a team that displays special attributes, exemplary effort, and perseverance at the event. Good job 90049E!
