Our students showed incredible teamwork, determination, and sportsmanship on and off the court—and we’re proud to celebrate their 4th place finish! 🙌 It was a day full of fun, connection, and school spirit.
Way to represent and support one another—we couldn’t be more proud!

This hands-on experience gave students the chance to practice essential job-seeking skills like answering interview questions, presenting themselves professionally, and building confidence. It was incredible to see them grow with each conversation and take important steps toward their future goals.
A big thank you to our Counseling Center, the local businesses who volunteered their time, and all who helped make this valuable experience possible!

Our amazing Hope Squad leaders planned a full week of fun, connection, and positivity. Each day brought a new theme—pajama day, wear green, hat day, backwards day, and even “dress like a teacher (or student)” day—which made it so fun to see everyone’s creativity shine.
We also had activities throughout the week to lift each other up, including treats at lunch, jump rope contests, a scavenger hunt, writing uplifting notes, and handing out flowers. 🌼
A huge thank you to everyone who put in the time and effort to make this week so special. Your kindness and energy truly made a difference.
The mission of Hope Squad is to foster human connection, build community, and spread hope—and this week was a perfect example of that in action. 💛

America is turning 250 — and our students have something to say.
Davis School District is hosting Voices of a Nation: Student Perspectives on 250 Years of America, a districtwide speaking event aligned with America 250 Utah.
Students from every school and grade level are invited to apply to deliver an original speech about America’s past, present or future.
Selected students will receive mentorship and take the stage on May 4, 2026, at the Davis Instructional Services Center in Layton. The event will be professionally produced and live streamed for the community.
You don’t have to be famous to have something worth saying.
Take the mic. Share your idea. Be part of the story.
Applications due March 18.
Apply at Davis School District America 250 Student Speaking Event

This well-deserved recognition highlights her dedication, passion for literacy, and commitment to inspiring students every day. We are so proud to have her as part of our school community—congratulations, Mrs. Bos!!!

Last night our Advanced Orchestra traveled to the District String Festival — and we brought home TWO Superior ratings! 🏆🏆
For those who may not know how it works: students prepare three pieces and then perform them for a panel of judges who listen very carefully and offer detailed critiques. It is focused. It is intense. It is nerve-wracking.
And our students rose to the challenge beautifully.
We are beyond proud of their hard work, dedication, and courage to perform under pressure. They represented our school with excellence and heart, and this accomplishment is truly something to celebrate! 🎶👏

Thank you, Officer Behm, for the impact you make at Syracuse Jr High each and every day. We are so lucky to have you as part of our Seahawk family! 💙
