Kindergarten team

We’re excited to introduce our wonderful kindergarten team at Wasatch Elementary: Ms. White, Ms. Leavitt, and Ms. Miles. These caring and creative educators work hard every day to make learning fun, meaningful, and full of discovery for our youngest students.

In kindergarten, children explore a wide range of topics that help them build a strong foundation in reading, math, science, and social studies. They will enjoy classic nursery rhymes and fables, learn about the five senses, and discover how plants grow. They’ll explore the changing seasons, learn about Native American cultures, and understand how to take care of the Earth. Through stories about kings and queens, early American settlers, and national symbols, students begin to connect with history in an engaging and age-appropriate way.

Kindergartners will also build important skills in reading and writing, practice counting and simple addition, and explore shapes and patterns. In science, they will observe weather, learn about living things, and explore how objects move. Technology lessons will introduce them to basic computer skills and how to stay safe online.

Beyond academics, our kindergartners grow in confidence, kindness, and creativity. They enjoy music, art, movement, and hands-on activities that make each day exciting and full of joy.

Students in kindergarten are truly lucky to have Ms. White, Ms. Leavitt, or Ms. Miles as their teacher. Each one brings something special to the classroom, and together they create a warm, inspiring place for children to learn and grow.
