We are excited to celebrate our fabulous 4th grade teacher, Angie Burke! Mrs. Burke is in her 19th year of teaching and proudly marks her 10th year at Sand Springs. Although she has taught nearly every grade level, 4th grade holds a special place in her heart and remains her favorite. She is passionate about creating a supportive and encouraging classroom where students feel safe, valued, and excited to learn.
Outside the classroom, Mrs. Burke enjoys spending time with her family, reading, glamping in their fifth-wheel trailer, riding their Harley, and traveling abroad. She is a self-proclaimed picky eater who strives to eat clean, following a sugar-free and gluten-free lifestyle. Some of her favorite things include the color pink, coffee, avocados, and popcorn.
Mrs. Burke and her husband have been married for 32 years and have a daughter and a granddaughter—whom she is lucky enough to have in her class this year! Originally from Nebraska, she met her husband while serving in the U.S. Army at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. In 2003, they moved to Utah to be closer to family, and it has been home ever since.
We love having Mrs. Burke as part of our Sand Springs team!
