Leader in MeToday we had a Leader in Me teacher training day. Some of the main points of focus over the last couple of months have been creating a leadership environment, direct lessons on the individual habits, and empowering learners. Some of the paradigms teachers emphasize in the classroom are: -Everyone can be a leader -Everyone has genius -Change starts with me -Empower students to lead their own learning
-Educators and families partner to develop the whole person This worksheet is something you can go through with your students. |
BelongingThis month we will be focusing on appropriate hallway etiquette including staying to the right as a class (so other individuals and classes can use stairways and hallways with ease) and waving and talking quietly so as not to disturb learners in their classrooms.
This school year we have focused on building a culture of belonging. One thing that will be starting soon is having pen pals between classrooms. We are excited to have students build connections across grade levels. We have also identified students to serve on our Hope Squad and look forward to the activities these students come up with. |
Parent Teacher ConferencesParent Teacher Conferences will be on January 29th and 30th. The 29th will be our open house and the 30th will be individual appointments with teachers in-person or over Zoom. |
