Check out our Mother's Day ball... kickball that is. Moms come in their "ball gowns" and play a rugged game of kickball against their third graders. Moms came away with the win today! Way to go moms!

We had a special visitor in Mrs. Stuart's class today. Welcome Mrs. Utah, Charlotte Shores. She came to work with the students for "Friday Favorites." She read "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs" and then helped the students learn more about meteorologists.

Mrs Martinez class performed their opera, Stranded in Space, today. This was completely created by the students. They wrote the script, created the set, and put the whole production together.

One of the most enjoyable activities is sharing a book with kindergartners. Mrs. Clark's class invited Principal Palmer to come for story time on PJ day. We LOVE to read!

Lions and tigers and bears...Oh my! Our 3rd grade classes have been researching animals and learning about their habitats and gathering interesting facts. Today they were busy preparing their dioramas for their upcoming presentations.

See the friends that joined students in Mrs Gams class. They were sitting in their seats ready to learn. This is why we love kindergarten.

Oak Hills celebrated Earth Day with its own nature project. This weekend parents, students, and employees volunteered to help clean up "the oaks" area on the playground. Many hands made the work go quickly as dead wood was hauled away, thorn bushes were removed, and paths were cleared. Thank you to everyone who came to help!

Everyone can Dance! This is the message the Ririe Woodbury Dance Company shared in an assembly on Tuesday. They taught students about shape, space, and energy in movement. This was a great opportunity to learn more about the arts.

Our second annual career fair was an incredible success! This gave students the opportunity to explore careers in law enforcement, farming, dog grooming, transportation, criminal justice, health care, art, and so much more! Thank you to ALL our volunteers who made this night possible!

Thank you military families! We are showing our support by "Purpling Up." Thank you to all who showed their support by wearing purple.

Please join us April 26th from 9:00-10:30 for our semi-annual Oaks Clean-up Day. After a long winter with winds and snow, we have some downed branches and other debris in our Oak Tree area. There are also a few nuisance plants like Russian Olive plants that need to be removed. We are asking for volunteers to come help us clear the Oaks out and make it safer for our students. This is a great service opportunity for our families and Jr. High or High School students who may need service hours. And of course doughnuts will be provided to all who are able to come. If you are able to help, please RSVP at the following link: https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=dPKcPX5U9UqN3gGmNuC2B9R99RksAp9CjGjnUB6mkTZUNU1ZSUpFUDFBTlpQSks2WVJTUUlOS01FTS4u
If you have any questions, please contact the office.

Today we welcomed Akwasi Frimpong, a sprinter, a bobsledder, and the first skeleton athlete from Ghana, to Oak Hills for a special assembly.
