The Murdock Auto Team — Driving More Than Cars in Davis County

This February has been a month full of celebration across Davis School District. Teachers were surprised with Excellence in Education Awards. Classroom grants were delivered directly into the hands of educators ready to stretch every dollar into student opportunity. Students found new ways to shine.

Through it all, one partner has been right in the middle of the joy and momentum: the Murdock Auto Team.

Showing up for teachers

You may have seen them walking into classrooms with smiles, celebrating teachers and helping deliver support where it matters most. Their presence is more than symbolic. It represents a shared belief that great educators deserve recognition and real resources.

Classroom grants may look simple from the outside. But inside those moments are supplies and tools that help students learn with more confidence — from hands-on materials and enrichment resources to classroom needs that make a teacher’s day run smoother and a student’s experience feel more supported.

Inclusion in action

This Tuesday’s Unified Basketball tournament at Western Sports Park was one of the biggest yet. All nine high schools gathered for a full day of inclusive competition and school spirit that was electric.

Unified Sports is about more than points on a scoreboard. It is about connection. Teamwork. Confidence. It is about every student feeling seen, valued and included. When community partners show up, they reinforce something powerful: our students matter.

Community support turns good school moments into unforgettable ones.

A legacy of community

The Murdock Auto Team has deep roots in Northern Utah. Since 1982, the Murdock family has grown their dealerships on a simple belief: people matter. That mindset extends beyond the showroom and into classrooms, gyms and school events across Davis County.

They are one of Davis Education Foundation’s oldest and closest partners, and their support helps create moments that students remember — the kind that build confidence, belonging and pride in their school.
