Child Spree

Child Spree is Davis Education Foundation's annual event to provide at-risk students with clothing essentials for the first day of school.

This year, nearly 400 students were served.. Our amazing volunteers are provided with student sizing information and clothing preferences in order to best shop for their assigned child. Students are the able to pick up their new clothes and shoes at their school the following week before school starts. We love helping these kids have a strong start for the new school year! We are so grateful to our sponsors and volunteers for their support in this event.

Child Spree has been happening for over a decade. Every year, we are overwhelmed by the response from the community to help kids in Davis School District. Foundation Director Jodi Lunt considers Child Spree a crucial part of the Foundation's mission to remove barriers to learning. She says, “If young people don’t have their basic needs met, they cannot academically perform to their optimal potential.” Because of our fantastic partners, we are able to meet these kids’ basic needs and put them on the right track for learning.
